Static data

Static data is the engineering design information that pertains to each graphically represented object in the flowsheet model. For instance, the tank representation in the model requires information about the tank’s capacity, which would be stored in the static data tables. Static data is shared between models in the same database, which reduces maintenance and ensures that all models use the same specifications. General items, like product lists, which may not be associated with a single flowsheet object, are also termed static data.
