You can configure the server settings in the AVEVA Production Accounting tab.

If the server settings resemble the following configuration, the Excel Add-In is configured as a two-tier configuration.

The following process describes how to set the server settings for a two-tier configuration:

Select the AVEVA Production Accounting tab, and then select Server Setting.
The Database Setting window appears.

AVEVAProductionAccounting is the default connection name. You can edit, add or delete the database connection.
For example, if you select
, you can define a new connection.

From the Provider list, select the database provider.

In the Server text box, specify the server name for the AVEVA Production Accounting Excel Add-In Server.

If you selected System.Data.SqlClient as the Provider, in the Database text box, specify the Database Name.

If you selected Devart.Data.Oracle as the Provider, perform the following actions:

In the SID text box, type the Service ID.

In the Port text box, specify the TCP Port number.

Optional: Select the Integrated Security check box.
Note: If you select the check box, the current Windows account credentials are used for authentication and the log in text boxes are disabled. If you clear the check box, you must enter a User ID and Password.

If the Integrated Security check box is not selected:
-
In the User ID text box, specify the Database Login Name.

In the Password and Password Confirm text boxes, enter a password to set for your User ID.

If you selected provider Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 to connect to the AVEVA Production Accounting MS Access database, you have to enter the full name of the MS Access database.

Note that to connect to the MS Access database, in the Option menu of AVEVA Production Accounting you must perform the following steps for the connection to actually work:

Select Create audit tables in the Network Database.

Select Edit Global Setting Parameters.

Select Save Global Setting Parameters into the Network Database.

Optional: If you want to test the connection, select Test.
If the connection is successful, the Successful message will appear, and you can save the configuration.
If the connection is unsuccessful, check the configuration.

Select Save.
Note: You must save the configuration of the server setting in AVEVA.AVEVAProductionAccounting.ExcelAddin.dll.config.
The Restart Excel message appears.

Optional: If you want Excel to run immediately, you select OK.
