OPC Historical Data Access server interface

AVEVA Production Accounting is able to access historical data from any OPC Historical Data Access (OPC HDA) server without having to be concerned with the details of the OPC HDA standard.

AVEVA Production Accounting uses Integration Objects OPC HDA Client Libraries.

Compatibility

The OPC HDA Client Libraries have been tested on the following operating systems with AVEVA Production Accounting:

• Windows 10

• Windows server 2016 and later

The OPC HDA Client Libraries were compatible with the following OPC HDA version:

• OPC Historical Data Access 1.20

• OPC Historical Data Access 1.10

• OPC Historical Data Access 1.00

To access the remote OPC HDA server, the DCOM Configuration for both client and server sides is needed. See Additional Information: DCOM Configuration (Client Side) and Additional Information: Tips for Configuring DCOM Servers.

You can test the OPC HDA connection to OPC HDA sever by using MatrikonOPC HDA Explorer which is MatrikonOPC’s simple HDA OPC testing utility that allows you to make queries into any HDA-compliant OPC server as below.

MatrikonOPC HDA Explorer is the free utility used to test OPC HDA connections and data. You can download it from the Matrikon site.

After the OPC HDA connections are successful, you can make new Interface Sources to OPC HDA servers in AVEVA Production Accounting.
