Provide the start date, end date, and model name in the report page to retrieve and view any report from AVEVA Production Accounting – Web.

To prevent an error message while querying the report, save the engineering unit in the database before fetching the report.

Save engineering unit

The engineering unit is saved in the TBL_GLOBALSET table, along with other configurations, in the AVEVA Production Accounting application. The SetGroup for the engineering unit is ENGUNIT. After you save the engineering unit in the desktop application, query the report.

  1. Open AVEVA Production Accounting.

  2. Select the Tools menu.

  3. In the Tools menu, in the Tools group, select Option.

    The Option dialog appears.

  4. In the Option dialog, select the File/Database tab.

  5. In the File/Database tab, select Save Global Setting Parameters into the Network Database.

  6. Select OK.

    The engineering unit is saved.

Export a report

  • In the report page, select Excel Export or PDF Export to export the report to its respective output file in your local system.

Sort records by field

In the report page, by default, data is displayed in the order retrieved from the database.

  • Sort and arrange records by performing one of the following actions:

    • Select a column once.

      The records are arranged in ascending order.

    • Double-click the column.

      The records are arranged in descending order.

    • Triple-click the column.

      The records are arranged in the default order.

    The columns are sorted and a sorting indicator appears next to the column name.

Filter rows

  1. Select the filter icon beside a column, such as Stream Name.

    A pop-up window appears.

  2. Perform one of the following actions:

    • Clear or select the Stream Name row checkboxes as required.

      • Select OK.

      The stream rows are hidden or displayed based on applied changes.

    • Select Sort A to Z.

      The rows are arranged in ascending alphabetical order from A to Z.

    • Select Sort Z to A.

      The rows are arranged in descending alphabetical order from Z to A.

    Filter columns

    1. Select Columns.

      The Choose Column pop-up window appears.

    2. Clear or select the column checkboxes as required.

    3. Select OK.

      The columns are hidden or displayed based on the applied changes.

      Zoom in, zoom out, pan, and reset a bar chart

      Each bar chart includes a zoom feature that allows you to focus on specific sections for more detail.

      To zoom, pan, or reset a bar chart, perform the following steps:

      1. Go to the Analytical View tab of a standard report.

      2. In the bar chart of a node, zoom in on the details. If you are using a mouse, click on the chart and scroll up. If you are using a laptop, on the touchpad, stretch two fingers apart.

        Once a chart is zoomed in, the Zoom in, Zoom out, Pan, and Reset buttons are visible.

      3. In the zoomed-in view of the chart, perform one of the following actions:

        • Zoom in (1): If you are using a mouse, click on the chart and scroll up. If you are using a laptop, on the touchpad, stretch two fingers apart. You can also select the Zoom in button.

        • Zoom out (2): If you are using a mouse, click on the chart and scroll down. If you are using a laptop, on the touchpad, pinch two fingers together. You can also select the Zoom out button.

        • Pan (3): Select the Pan button to navigate through the zoomed in chart details.

        • Reset (4): Select the Reset button to revert the chart back to its original state.

        Configure the number of charts displayed in a page

        In the report page, by default, the number of bar charts displayed is four and the number of pie charts displayed is two. To change the number of charts displayed:

        • Select the Items per page dropdown and select a value from the list.

          Pagination

          The number of charts displayed in the page is updated based on the selected value.

        Open and expand a bar chart in a dialog

        1. Go to the Analytical View tab of a standard report.

        2. In the bar chart of a node, select the lens button.

        3. Select Expand Chart.

          The chart bars are zoomed in along with their labels.

        4. Use the horizontal scroll bar to navigate through the chart details.

          Note: The Expand Chart and scroll feature functions similarly to the Zoom in and Pan feature. The difference is that when using Pan, the Y axis of the chart remains fixed, whereas in the Expanded Chart format, the Y axis moves with the horizontal scroll.

          Auto-save report filters

          The auto-save report filter functionality is available for all standard reports, custom reports, diagnostic reports and in the Download Reports page. To auto-save filters, perform the following steps:

          1. Go to any report page.

          2. Select and populate the following filter attributes:

            • From Date

            • To Date

            • Select Model

            • Select Sub Model

            • Balance type:

              • Mass

              • Volume

              • Both

          3. Select Get Report.

            The report details appear and the selected attributes are saved in the local storage of your browser.

          4. Navigate away from the selected report page.

          5. Navigate back to the report page.

            The report filters are re-populated based on your previous selection by default.

            Clear auto-saved report filters

            1. Go to your browser settings.

            2. Select Clear browsing data.

              The Delete browsing data pop-up window appears.

            3. Select Cookies and other site data checkbox.

            4. Select Clear now.

              The previously saved report filters are cleared.

              Available report periods

              In the Download Reports page, the Report Period dropdown allows you select the time range between the From Date and To Date options in the AVEVA Production Accounting – Web reports. The following report periods are defined:

              • Daily: The From Date is set to the previous day and the To Date is set to the current date.

              • MTD (Month-to-Date): The From Date is set to the start of the month and the To Date is set to the current date. If the current date is the start of the month, then by default, the previous month's start and end dates are set.

              • QTD (Quarter-to-Date): The From Date is set to the start of quarter and the To Date is set to the current date. If the current date is the start of the quarter, then by default, the previous quarter's start and end dates are set.

              • YTD (Year-to-Date): The From Date is set to the start of year and the To Date is set to the current date. If the current date is the start of the year, then by default, the previous year's start and end dates are set.

              • Weekly: The From Date and To Date is set to the previous week's start and end dates. For example, Monday to Monday.

              • Monthly: The From Date and To Date is set to the previous month's start and end dates.

              • Quarterly: The From Date and To Date is set to the previous quarter's start and end dates.

              • Yearly: The From Date and To Date is set to the previous year's start and end dates.
