AVEVA™ Production Accounting

Add database connection(s)

You can connect to multiple databases in AVEVA Production Accounting in one session, enabling you to consolidate data from multiple supported databases into one Excel worksheet.

Configure the database connection from the Server Setting option using the Database Setting window in AVEVA Production Accounting.

You can configure:

  • Multiple databases on multiple servers

  • Multiple databases on a single server

  • Single database on a single server

The following procedure describes how to add a database connection:

  1. Select the AVEVA Production Accounting tab, and then select Server Setting.

    The Database Settings pop-up window appears. You can add new database connections, edit, or delete the existing database connection values.

  2. In the Database Settings pop-up window, select +.

    The Database Connection Setting dialog appears.

  3. In the Database Connection Setting dialog, enter the following details:

    • Name: Name of the connection. This name will appear in the list of database connection.

    • Is Default: Select the checkbox if you want to make this connection as the default connection

    • Provider: Select the database provider from the pre-populated list.

    • Server: Server name on which database exists.

    • For Oracle connection only

      • SID: System Identifier (SID) or name of Oracle database instance

      • Port: Database port on which it is configured

    • Integrated Security: Select the checkbox to use windows credentials for connection

    • UserId: User name

    • Password: Password

    • Password Confirm: Re-enter the password

  4. Select Test to check the connection status.

  5. Select Save.

    This database connection is saved and added to the connection list in the Database Settings pop-up window.
