Configure the interface for PIAF

After you define the interface source, you can configure multiple interfaces associated with one interface source.
The following procedure describes how to configure the interface:

Select the Tools menu.

On the Tools menu, in the Edit Info group, select Interface.Info.
The Edit Interface Information dialog appears.

In the File table, right-click on No. column.
A list appears.

Select New.
A new interface row is added to the table.

In the IF Source Name dropdown, select PIAF.

In the Mode field, enter Export or Import.
In the screenshot example below, an interface is added with PIAF as the IF Source Name, and Import as the Mode.
You can now define tags to obtain their values from an external data source. Tags only work correctly if you define an interface to the appropriate historian.
