User Plotfiles

Each plotfile used by the Supports application is located in the directory:

{Software Location}/PMLUI/des/MDS/plot.

Plotfiles can be viewed and printed using the AVEVA Plot Viewer software.

You can define your own plotfiles, including logos and client-specific information instead of the supports plotfiles.

To do this, place the user plots into a parallel file structure, and instruct the supports application to search in the user area before the AVEVA area. For example, change the search path on the MDSPLOTS environment variable, within the evars.init file from:

set mdsplots=%1\PMLUI\des\mds\plot

to

set mdsplots=C:\mds\user_plots %1\PMLUI\des\mds\plot.
