Associations

Use the Associations part of the AVEVA AIM Gateway Config window to add, modify and delete associations between element types. Element associations are reflected in the EIWM file.

Note:
The gateway does not validate the associations between element types. Make sure that the association is meaningful for the users of AVEVA AIM. Invalid or incorrect associations can cause confusion when they are imported to AVEVA AIM.

Element

The Element column displays element associations for the element types selected in the Element Selection and Filters part of the AVEVA AIM Gateway Config window. Use the Element drop-down list to select an element type.

Association

The Association column displays the association for the element type. Use the Associations drop-down list to select an association type.

Element List

The Element List column displays available elements for association with the currently selected element type. Use the Element List drop-down list to select an associated element type.

Add Association

Use to create an empty element association row.

Delete Association

Use to delete the currently selected element association.
