Export to SVG/AVEVA NET

Export

Click to export the current sheet.

Multi Export

Select Export to multiple files from the drop-down list to export multiple sheets to individual files. By default, each exported file is named using the sheet name.

Select Export to single file from the drop-down list to export multiple sheets to single file. By default, the export file is auto named.

Specify export type

Select Export to SVG/AVEVA.NET from the drop-down list to define a .SVG file that is suitable for AVEVA.NET as the export format.

Settings

Click to define the settings for the export.

Show view frames

Select the check box to include the frames of all View frame owners (for example, Views, Regions and Sheets) in the exported output.

Preview

Click to update the export preview.

Name

Select Draw from the drop-down list to export a SVG/AVEVA.NET file that contains CAD configurations.

Select Reports from the drop-down list to export a SVG/AVEVA.NET file that does not contain CAD configurations.

Location

Input a value in the field to identify the location of the configuration file.

Alternatively, click to browse to the required folder.

Log Enabled

Select the check box to create a log file (.txt file) when the export is processed. The Log File field becomes active.

Log File

Input a value in the field to identify the filename and location of the log file.

Alternatively, click to browse to the required folder.

Staging Options

Input a value in the field to identify the top level folder into which files are to be exported.

Alternatively, click to browse to the required folder.

Create Trigger File

Select the check box to create a trigger.start file (an empty text file) staging area folder for each file type when the export is processed.

A trigger.start file triggers the AVEVA NET Portal’s import controller to automatically process all files that reside in the same folder.

Restore Defaults

Click to restore the default configuration settings.

Settings

Click to select the export mapping files and to specify additional configuration export settings.

If Draw is selected from the Name drop-down list, a SVG/AVEVA.NET file is exported that contains CAD configurations.

If Reports is selected from the Name drop-down list, a SVG/AVEVA.NET file is exported that does not contain CAD configurations.

Presentation Mapping

Input a value in the field to identify the location of the presentation mapping file.

Alternatively, click to browse to the required mapping file.

Click to open the mapping file in the default text editor, for example, Notepad.

Keep Unmapped Attributes

Select the check box to export unmapped attributes (attributes not mapped to AVEVA.NET Portal characteristics in the attribute mapping files) to export files as characteristics.

Attribute Mapping

Input a value in the field to identify the location of the attribute mapping file.

Alternatively, click to browse to the required mapping file.

Click to open the mapping file in the default text editor, for example, Notepad.

Class Mapping

Input a value in the field to identify the location of the class mapping file.

Alternatively, click to browse to the required mapping file.

Click to open the mapping file in the default text editor, for example, Notepad.

Colour

Select a background colour from the drop-down list for the export file.

Alternatively, select RGB values from the drop-down lists to define a custom background colour for the export file.

Alternatively, click Pick Colour to display the Color window. The functionality of the Color window is explained as part of the process to modify the Draw Display Options.

Scale Factor

Input a value in the field to define the line stroke-width attribute value for the export file.

Fast Graphics Mode

Select the check box to speed up the export process. Drawing entities that are not required, for example, meshes are not exported.

Create Tag CSV File

Select the check box to create a .CSV file in the output folder containing a list of all the tagged objects and their corresponding classifications.

Object / Report Pattern Mapping

Input a value in the field to identify the location of the pattern mapping file.

Alternatively, click to browse to the required mapping file.

Click to open the mapping file in the default text editor, for example, Notepad.

Class Mapping

Input a value in the field to identify the location of the class mapping file.

Alternatively, click to browse to the required mapping file.
