The Hatching Rules part of the Representation and Hatch Rules window allows you to define the items to which hatching styles apply.

You can define the element surfaces to be considered for hatching.

Select the option button to apply hatching only to surfaces cut by a section plane. |
|
All Primitive Surfaces |
Select the option button to apply hatching to all surfaces, the element need not be cut by a section plane. |
You can define the surface direction of elements to be considered for hatching. The element to be hatched must also meet the criteria defined using the option buttons in the Consider part of the window.

|
Only Surfaces Perpendicular to the View Direction |

|
Only Surfaces Facing in a Specified Direction |
