Trim Objects to Extrapolated Edges

Trims an object to an extrapolated edge.

  1. You are prompted to Select borders for trim

  2. Click to identify the objects to trim to and press Enter

  3. You are then prompted to Select entity to trim or <Finish>

  4. Input E at the prompt and press Enter.

  5. You are then prompted to Enter an implied edge extension mode <Extend>

  6. Input E at the prompt or Enter.

  7. You are then prompted to Select entity to trim or <Finish>

  8. Click to identify the objects to trim. The selected objects are trimmed.

  9. The prompt is repeated, allowing you to trim multiple objects.

  10. Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command.

  11. Throughout the trim process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

    Crossing

    Press the down arrow key and select Crossing to select objects using a selection box.

    Edge

    Press the down arrow key and select Edge to trim objects to extrapolated edges.

    Delete

    Press the down arrow key and select Delete to delete an object.

    Back

    Press the down arrow key and select Back to undo the last action.

    Finish

    Press the down arrow key and select Finish to end the command.

    Extend

    Press the down arrow key and select Extend to trim objects to extrapolated edges.

    No extend

    Press the down arrow key and select No extend to trim objects to intersecting objects.
