Setting Obstruction Representation for Cableways

  • Last UpdatedJan 11, 2024

Keywords:

REPRESENTATION CABLEWAY OBSTRUCTION ON/OFF TRANSLUCENCY

Description:

Cableway Obstructions are often given Representation settings which render them invisible. Setting the Representation of OBST On forces the system to override Representation settings and show all of the primitives, regardless of the other settings.

This has the effect of considering all primitives which have an obstruction level greater than zero. The graphics display is not updated instantly. Use the REPResentation UPDATE command to make any changes visible.

To avoid obscuring the view in color-shaded mode, obstructions can be shown as translucent, the degree of translucency being controllable.

Examples:

REPR CABLEWAY OBST ON

REPR CABLEWAY OBST OFF

REPR CABLEWAY OBST ON TRANSLUCENCY 25

Command Syntax:

> REPResentation--CABLEWAY--OBSTruction -+- ON - TRANSLucency - value --.

                                         |                              |

                                         ‘- OFF ------------------------+->

Note: value must be in the range 0‑99: the actual translucency will be set to the nearest of 25, 50, 75 or 87 (99 = transparent; 0 = opaque).
