Sets the display characteristics of the laser survey in the 3D view.

Manipulating the laser survey in the 3D view allows you to increase the resolution of areas of interest, and filter out information that is not relevant at that moment in time. The laser survey can be clipped and refined based on personal preference, or by defined limits.

Options

Increases the point density within a laser survey region of interest.

The Point Cloud - Region Of interest window allows you to define the limits and modify the view quality of the region of interest.

CE Volume

Click to create a region of interest with volume limits derived from the CE.

The region of interest box displays as a pink box in the 3D view. The limits of the region of interest box can be modified. See Editor for further information.

Pick Volume

Click to create a region of interest with volume limits derived from two picked points in the 3D view.

You are prompted to From point (Distance [0]) Snap.

The Positioning Control window displays by default, the Laser Data filter must be selected to pick a position within the laser survey. See Positioning Control for further information.

Click to identify the first point of the region of interest limits box.

You are then prompted to To point (Distance [0]) Snap.

Click to identify the second point of the region of interest limits box. The region of interest box displays as a pink box in the 3D view. The limits of the region of interest box can be modified. See Editor for further information.

Centre

Input dimensional values in the fields to explicitly modify the center position of the region of interest.

Extent

Input dimensional values in the field to explicitly modify the size of the region of interest limits box. The distance is measured from the center position of the region of interest.

Translucent Box

Select the check box to remove the fill color from the region of interest box.

Inside

Select from the drop-down list to modify the display resolution of laser survey data within the region of interest.

Set view quality

Click to set the display resolution of laser survey data within the region of interest.

Edge Mode

Optimizes the edges of the laser survey to increase visibility in the 3D view.

Display Reset

Resets the complete display of the laser survey to low density points. As a result, if low density points have been switched off the display of laser data is removed.

Low Density Points

Low density point laser data is laser survey data that has not been defined as detailed laser data. See Detail Laser Data for further information.

Click to remove low density point laser data from the view.

Repeat the command to add low density point laser data to the view.

Detail Laser Data

optimizes the display resolution of the laser survey within the area definition or demolition package volume.

Repeat the command to turn off the display optimization.

Highlight Laser Data

Highlights detailed laser survey data within the area definition or demolition package volume.

The default highlight color is pink and cannot be modified.

Repeat the command to remove the highlight from the detailed laser survey data volume.

Mask Laser Data

Removes detailed laser survey data within the area definition or demolition package volume.

Repeat the command to remove the mask from the detailed laser survey data volume.
