Defines the default values for pipe fabrication checks and other behavioral aspects of Pipe Fabrication. The data is stored in an APPLDW element, the user must have the correct access permissions to proceed.

Default excess for loose components |
Defines the default excess added when a component is set to loose. |
Default excess for insert connection |
Defines the default excess length for an insert connection. A description of how to correctly define an insert connection is explained. Refer to Non-Standard Branch Connections for further information. |
Default excess for surface connection |
Defines the default excess length for a surface connection. A description of how to correctly define a surface connection is explained. Refer to Non-Standard Branch Connections for further information. |
Default excess for saddle connection |
Defines the default excess length for a saddle connection. A description of how to correctly define a saddle connection is explained. Refer to Non-Standard Branch Connections for further information. |
Default excess for boss connection |
Defines the default excess length for a boss connection. A description of how to correctly define a boss connection is explained. Refer to Non-Standard Branch Connections for further information. |
Default excess for miter connection |
Defines the default excess length for a miter connection. |
Default Weld Prefix |
Defines the default weld prefix, when the welds are created using the Weld Handling window, the weld prefix is automatically updated for the weld element. |
Apply default miter excess to all miter pieces |
Defines the additional excess (value entered in the Default excess for miter connection field) to each end of the center pipe as well as for the arrive and leave tubes. Note: If the check box is not checked the excess will only be applied to the arrive and leave tubes. Note: If this option or default miter lengths are modified, all affected spools will require revalidation to add or remove the extra lengths to the pipe pieces. |
Update manually created welds when using the Weld handling form |
Defines the behavior of welds added manually using the Pipe Component Editor window. Note: Any manually create welds are updated as soon as the window is opened as opposed to updating the weld during any subsequent creation of welds. |
Negative first feed |
Select the check box for the first feed value to be a negative value. |
Leave the check box unchecked for the first feed value to be a positive value. |
XYZ Bending Table |
Select the check box for the bending table to show x, y and z coordinates for spool. Leave the check box unchecked for the bending table to show feed, rot and bend coordinates for spool. |
Reverse order of Bending Data on Spool Drawing |
Defines the order of the bending data on the pipe spool drawing. Note: If check box is not selected, the order of the bending program is from top to bottom. |
Allow automated feed excess |
Select the check box to allow feed excess during fabrication checks. |
Allow automated end excess for bending machine |
Select the check box to allow for an end excess, suitable for the bending machine, to be added when required. |
Allow automated end excess for extrusion machine |
Select the check box to allow for an end excess, suitable for the extrusion machine, to be added when required. |
Always set spool type to shop |
Select the check box for the spool type not to be overwritten by the fabrication check functionality. It is always SHOP. |
Show "Modelling consistency check not passed" on Spool Drawing |
Select the check box to add a watermark to the spool drawing, indicating the modelling consistency check status. |
Use Auto Naming Rules |
Select the check box to use auto naming rules. Refer to Autonaming for further information. |
Disable Bolting error messages in Pipe Spool Validation |
Select the check box to disable bolting error messages in Pipe Spool Validation |
Disable SKEY error messages in Modelling Consistency Check |
Select the check box to disable SKEY error messages in Modelling Consistency Check. |
Pipe Sketch Form - Disable Spool to PIpe Sketch date Comparison |
Select the check box to disable the SKEY error message during the model consistency check. This is only applicable when using plot files as it checks if the spool has been modified after the last plot file date. Note: This can be quite time consuming on large projects due to a large number of session files. |
Pipe Sketch Form - Disable Drawing Name Check |
Select the check box to disable the spool to pipe sketch date comparison functionality on the Pipe Sketch form. This functionality searches for any existing pipe sketches which contains spool(s) being added to the window. Note: This selection may take some time as it scans all current sketches, hence the ability to turn it off. |
Apply Surface treatment functionality to Galvanization tank |
Use to replace the :GALV column in the Galvanization Tank Check window with the Outside/Inside Punch Codes allocated as the surface treatment. |
Update the Joint Prefix and Joint Number attribute of a gasket and Prefix for Joint |
Select the check box to update the joint prefix and number attribute of a gasket element |
Prefix for Joint |
Updates the Joiprefix attribute of the gasket elements (which can then be displayed on the isometric). Note: Using the Fabrication Check window with the Prefix for Joint field populated. |
