Navigates within the model in any direction on a horizontal plane. Modelled data and laser survey data can be examined as if walking about the site.

  1. Walk mode can be used as a mechanism of reviewing existing conditions and integration of the updated model. When walk mode is entered, you can control the view point and move in a number of directions combining forward movement and rotation to look left or right.

The movement speed is controlled using the view configuration options.

  2. Once walk mode is entered, rotate the mouse wheel to zoom in or out of the model area to be viewed.

  3. Depress the left mouse button and move the cursor away from the cross to move forward and rotate. The movement remains on the horizontal plane. The speed of movement is proportional to the distance between the cursor and the cross.

  4. Press Shift whilst moving to increase the speed of movement.

  5. Press CTRL whilst moving to decrease the speed of movement.

  6. Release the left mouse button to stop moving.

  7. Depress the middle mouse button to rotate around a fixed position.

  8. Depress the right mouse button and move the cursor away from the cross to move upward or downward on the horizontal plane. The speed of the movement is proportional to the vertical distance between the cursor and the cross.

  9. Press ESC to exit walk mode.
