Description:

Allows the user to send a command string to a specified data server.

The user can send short command strings (up to 120 characters) within the SEND command line, or the user can concatenate multiple command strings by using the START and END commands (q.v.).

Example:

EXTERNAL SEND $!!MAINT ’commit’

Syntax:

>-- EXTERnal SENd server_token text -->
