This manual assumes that you are familiar with AVEVA E3D Design to the level of the Basic Training Course.

Most of the examples in this manual illustrate templates which report directly on AVEVA E3D Design attributes and pseudo-attributes. You can also use more complex expressions in report templates, and although some of these are illustrated, you will need to be familiar with PML, the AVEVA Programmable Macro Language, if you want to set these up for yourself.

For information about further training, please contact your nearest AVEVA Support Office (see the copyright page at the front of this guide for further information).

To use the sample templates supplied with the product, the AVEVA E3D Design variable $AVEVA_DESIGN_REP_DIR should be set to the directory where the sample reports are stored.
