Context Configuration

Use the Context Configuration part of the AVEVA AIM Gateway Export window to specify a context name, file suffix and a dataset for the data export.

Name

Enter a name for the context. To specify a nested context, enter the highest context followed by a + symbol. For example, SRP+PPD+VPD. By default, the field is populated with PROJECTCONTEXT.

File Suffix

Enter a filename extension for the EIWM file. The file suffix is used by AVEVA AIM to select the relevant XSLT file to process the exported EIWM. Make sure the XSLT file is already associated with AVEVA AIM. By default, the file suffix is _null, which specifies that AVEVA AIM processes the EIWM file without any XSLT. Refer to the AVEVA AIM Workhub and Dashboard Installation Guide for further information.

Dataset

Enter a dataset name for the exported objects. If specified, the attributes of the elements are exported as datasets and this is reflected in AVEVA AIM when processed. If a dataset is not specified, the exported attributes are not displayed in the AVEVA AIM Dashboard view.

Generate folder.vnet

Select the Generate folder.vnet check box to specify if a folder.vnet file is generated. The folder.vnet file contains information about the class in which the generated RMV file is placed and the context in which the object is saved. By default, the check box is selected.

Generate trigger.start

Select the Generate trigger.start check box to specify if the output files (EIWM and RVM) are automatically picked for processing into AVEVA AIM by the Import Controller. By default, the check box is deselected. If the check box is selected, make sure that the staging area of the output files is listed as a watched folder in the Import Controller.
