Create |

Current Selection |
Select from the drop-down list to create a clipping box with limits defined from a selection of elements.

Current Element |
Select from the drop-down list to create a clipping box with limits defined from the currently selected element.
|
|
Clip |
Click to turn clipping on or off. When clipping is applied, only the elements within the clipping box display in the 3D view. |

Add Within |
Click to define the elements which are contained within the clipping box. |
|
Partially |
Select from the drop-down list to display all elements in the 3D view which are partially contained within the clipping box. |
|
Wholly |
Select from the drop-down list to display all elements in the 3D view which are wholly contained within the clipping box. |

Advanced |
Select from the drop-down list to define the elements which are contained within the clipping box. See Define Clipping Elements below for further information. |

Modify |
Click to turn the clipping box display on or off. Double click with the left mouse button to modify the dimensions of the clipping box as a non-routed item using the Editor functionality. Refer to Non-Routed Item for further information.
A new clipping box can be created using the Create functionality. Refer to for further information. Elements can be added or removed from the clipping box using the Add Within functionality. Refer to for further information. |

Cap |
When using clipping, only parts of the model that lie within the clipping box display. Elements that are intersected by the clipping box can have a colored cap added to indicate that they extend beyond the display region. Click to turn the capping of clipped elements or off. The default cap settings can be defined. Refer to Current View for further information. |
Define Clipping Elements
Use the Add Within window to define the elements which are contained within the clipping box.

All |
Select the option button to add or remove all model elements from the clipping box. |
|
Select Elements |
Select the option button to add or remove specified model elements from the clipping box. The model element check boxes become active. Select the model element check boxes to add or remove specified model elements from the clipping box. |
|
Other Elements |
Select the other element check boxes to add or remove specified elements from the clipping box. |
|
Wholly |
Select the option button to add or remove all selected elements which are contained wholly within the clipping box. |
|
Wholly and Partially |
Select the option button to add or remove all selected elements which are contained wholly and partially within the clipping box. |
|
Add |
Click to display all specified elements in the 3D view which are contained within the clipping box. |
|
Remove |
Click to remove all specified elements from the 3D view which are contained within the clipping box. |
