Add Symbol with Specified Size

Add a symbol to a drawing with a specified size.

The Select window can be used to select the required SYTM or ISOTM element.

Double-click the required element, or click the element and click Select. The symbol is used as the default symbol for the session until another symbol is selected.

You are prompted to Specify the insertion point or <Finish>

A preview of the image displays at the cursor.

Input S at the prompt and press Enter.

You are then prompted to Specify X scale <1>

Input a value in the field and press Enter to define the scale factor for the X dimension.
Note: A value of less than 1 decreases the width of the symbol. For example, to reduce the width of the symbol by half, input 0.5 at the prompt.

You are then prompted to Specify Y scale <1>

Input a value in the field and press Enter to define the scale factor for the Y dimension.

You are then prompted to Specify the Insertion point or <Finish>

Input values in the dimension fields and press Enter or click to identify the position of the symbol. The symbol is added to the drawing.

You are again prompted to Specify the insertion point or <Finish>

The prompt is repeated allowing you to create multiple copies of the symbol.

Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command.

Throughout the process of adding symbols to the drawing you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

Template
Press the down arrow key and select Template to select a different symbol from the template.
Scale
Press the down arrow key and select Scale to modify the scale of the symbol.
Finish
Press the down arrow key and select Finish to end the command.
The new SYMB element displays in the Draw Explorer.
