You must have created or accessed a SPEC (as described in Creating a Specification and Accessing an Existing Specification, respectively) before you can enter tabular data.

Each Specification may contain any number of separate tables. For example, that part of the SPEC named /RF300 listed in the Content and Format of a Specification image contains four tables (one for each of the component types Valve (VALV), TEE, ELBO and FLAN), although the complete SPEC would probably contain many more.A table comprises three distinct types of data:

  • A Heading (or Question Line)

  • Defaults

  • Answer Lines

The heading must be at the top of the table; the defaults, if specified, must immediately follow the heading; and the answer lines (one for each SPCOM) form the remainder. This sequence is illustrated in the Content and Format of a Specification image.
