Attributes

Including attribute data, especially all attributes, can make the IFC file significantly larger.

The management of attributes is dependent on the receiving System. The presence of a large number of attributes might affect the response time when selecting or deselecting objects.

If an IFC class/type mapping is possible on the receiving side, consider using mapping to separate the different IFC types of objects into different storage areas within the environment of the receiving application.
