Automatic joint selection allows the number of joints owned by a JLDATUM element to be one of the questions (NOFJ) in an automatic joint specification. This allows the selection of a joint to be determined by other joints owned by the same JLDATUM. However, creation of the second and subsequent joints may require that the first joint selection is changed.
The following workflow is possible with an appropriately configured specification.
|
USER |
SYSTEM |
|---|---|
|
User creates first automatically selected joint. |
System selects joint from the specification with NOFJ = 1 |
|
User creates second automatically selected joint on the opposite side of the owning beam. |
System selects joint from the specification with NOFJ = 2 System revisits the first joint and reselects it with NOFJ =2 |
The rules for revisiting existing joints and reselecting them are:
-
Any joint (FIXING) with unset SPREF is not changed.
-
Any joint with a SPREF referencing a different SPEC (automatic AJOI or standard JOIN spec) is not changed.
