Chamfer Objects

Applies a chamfer to two selected objects.

  1. You are prompted to Select option: <Select object>

  2. Input S at the prompt and press Enter.

  3. You are then prompted to select first object

  4. Click to identify the first object (which can be a line or a construction line).

  5. You are then prompted to Select second line

  6. Click to identify the second line.

  7. The objects are chamfered and the command ends automatically.

  8. Throughout the chamfer process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

    Select object

    Press the down arrow key and select Select object to select an object and begin the chamfer process.

    Distance

    Press the down arrow key and select Distance to set the chamfer distance. Refer to Set Chamfer Distance for further information.

    Angle

    Press the down arrow key and select Angle to set the chamfer angle. Refer to Set Chamfer Angle for further information.

    Trim

    Press the down arrow key and select Trim to turn trimming on or off. Refer to Turn Trim On/Off for further information.

    Method

    Press the down arrow key and select Method to select the chamfer method. Refer to Select Chamfer Method for further information.

    Multiple

    Press the down arrow key and select Multiple to chamfer multiple objects. Refer to Chamfer Multiple Objects for further information.
