Merge Objects

Merges multiple elements (for example, straight or arc elements) and forms them into an outline element.

Note: The merge functionality is not intended for use with table elements.

  1. You are prompted to Select objects to merge

    Note: The prompt does not display if one or more objects are already selected.

  2. Click to identify the objects to merge and press Enter.

  3. You are prompted to Select option <Finish>

  4. Input F at the prompt and press Enter to end the command.

  5. Throughout the merge process you can press ESC to cancel the command. Additional functionality is also available.

    Close

    Press the down arrow key and select Close to link the two endpoints of the merged object with an automatically drawn line and end the command.

    Finish

    Press the down arrow key and select Finish to end the command.

    Open

    Press the down arrow key and select Open to merge the objects, the two endpoints of the merged object are unchanged.

The new OUTL element displays in the Draw Explorer.

Note: Associated marker point elements are not deleted as part of the merge process. If required, they can be deleted manually.
