Using AVEVA E3D™ products

To launch AVEVA E3D™ select Start > All Programs > AVEVA > Design > Everything3D 2.10 or click the desktop icon. The displayed Login requires user input to specify a number of details at the outset of the session.

To enter AVEVA E3D™, click the Login window to make it active, the window should be populated in the following order.

The Project field lists all available projects by their project identifier if one is defined, or by the three letter project code if not. Selecting a project re-populates the User and MDB fields with the relevant entries for that project.

Click the right-hand or left-hand arrow to scroll through the projects. The login window changes to allow you to search for a project and to define the display of masked projects.
Search
The Search list displays the project identifiers and project codes that match the characters typed in the field.

Select the required project from the list.
Click
to search for projects that match the characters typed in the field, the results
are displayed in the Project field.
Show Masked Projects
Select the check box to display masked projects in the Project field.
User
A user will have been allocated to the user by the system administrator, the User field lists all available usernames with any associated comment in braces. If Windows authenticated users are in use with this project the list will be limited to those available for the current Windows user.

Select the desired user name from the list.
Password
A password will have been allocated to the user by the system administrator, passwords are case sensitive, be sure to enter correctly. If Windows authenticated users are in use with this project a password is not necessary and this field will be greyed out.
You can change their password as they enter AVEVA E3D™, click Change Password on the login window.

The login window changes to allow the user to change their password.

To change their password you must enter their Current Password, the New Password to be used and then repeat the new password in the Confirm New Password field. Click Change to change the password or Cancel to close the window and return to the login window.
MDB
The MDB field list all available Multiple Databases with any associated comment in braces.

Select the required MDB from the list.
Note: If data access licenses are not available, some databases in the MDB are not opened. An error message window is displayed on startup.
Stamp
Select the required database milestone stamp from the list or select None to use the current database.
Project Options
The project status can be changed to read only mode, the view and default layout options can also be specified when entering AVEVA E3D™.

Show Project Options |
The login window changes to allow the selection of project options.

Open Read Only |
Select the check box to enter AVEVA E3D™ using read only mode, the projects can be viewed but not modified. |

Restore 3D Views |
Select the check box to restore the 3D View from the previous session. The 3D View is populated with the elements available in the drawlist and the view is zoomed to the element extents. Clipping, capping and colour enhancements that were applied to the 3D View in the previous session are not restored. Note: Restore 3D Views is only available when entering the MODEL and SPOOL modules. |

Restore Default Layout |
Select the check box to restore the work area layout to the default settings when entering AVEVA E3D™. The AVEVA Login window displays, asking you to confirm the deletion of the existing design settings and design window settings files. |

Module
Select the AVEVA E3D™ Module to launch, click the right-hand or left-hand arrow to scroll through the options.
