There are three import actions:

  • Import STD - Imports the GENSECs and PANEs into the model only, no connection information or load cases are imported. Only the original model is imported, the model can then be modified manually.

  • Adjust Imported Model - Adjusts the model imported by the Import STD function, the interface creates connections, merges GENSECs in the same line and adjusts the justifications. Member loads, nodal loads, member release and support information is also imported in this step.

  • Import and Adjust Model - Performs the Import STD and Adjust Imported Model functions together.

If the storage area is a STRU, the interface creates four FRMW to store the columns, beams, braces and panels. If the storage area is a FRMW, the interface creates four SBFR. The Purpose attribute of those hierarchies is set to COLU, BEAM, BRAC, PANE and ENDATU.
