Monitor

The Monitor module is commonly used to query the status of a projects users and access rights. Monitor allows basic querying of database information which normally can only be obtained using AVEVA Administration (which can only be accessed by a Free user).

Monitor can also be used to quickly change a password of the currently logged in user or completely switch to another user (if the user credentials are known).

Depending on the user type (Free or General), Monitor can be used to change access rights and defer databases. Batch processing and simply messaging can also be achieved.

If there is a problem with a project that inhibits another module from loading, then the software will automatically load the Monitor allowing simple diagnostics to be conducted using its command line interface (refer to Using MONITOR for further information.).
