Create and Apply Local Rules

Creates local view rules and applies them to items in the view drawlist, overriding the selected discipline specific rules for those items.

CE

Click to identify the currently selected view as the working element.

Views

Select a view for the sheet from the drop-down list.

Rules

Select a rule from the list.

Create

Allows you to create a rule. Click to display the Create RRUL window.

Input a name for the new rule in the Name field.

Click OK to add the rule to the Rules list or Cancel to discard any changes and close the Create RRUL window.

Delete

Click to delete the currently selected rule from the Rules list.

For

Allows you to specify the items that the rule is applied to.

Select the All option button and select the elements the rule is applied to from the drop-down list.

Select the Names option button and click Modify to display the Names window. Refer to Names for further information.

With

To apply qualifying restrictions to the elements specified in the For section, input an expression in the With field. For example, if the For section specifies Branches, the following can be input:

(HBOR GT 100) AND (TBOR GT 80)

meaning 'Branches with HBOR greater than 100mm and TBOR greater than 80mm'.

Symbology - Draw as Annotations

Select the check box to represent design items symbolically.

Hidden line removal

Select the check box to enable hidden line removal.

Style

Select the check box to associate the local rule with a representation style.

Styles

Select a representation style library from the upper drop-down list.

Select a style from the lower list.

Display

Select from the drop-down list to define the display of representation styles in the Styles list.

Click Apply to apply the local rules or Cancel to discard any changes and close the Local Rules window.
