Hole Management Window

Click Manage Selected Holes to display the Hole Management window.

The Hole Management window consists of:

  • A list of managed holes

  • Data about the currently selected hole

  • Validation Results of the currently selected hole

  • History of the currently selected hole

  • A comment on the current hole

  • Originator and Reviewer Tasks

  • A Return to Hole Associations link

Click Show Tags check box to display the labels in the 3D View around the selected holes.

List of Holes

The List of holes pane lists the managed holes of the selected hole associations.

Right-click on a managed hole in the list to display a pop-up menu which allows you to:

Navigate to

Navigates to the primary element (the penetrating item) in the hierarchy.

Add to 3D View

Adds the hole and associated items to the 3D view.

Remove from 3D View

Removes the hole and associated items from the 3D view.

Focus on Hole

Centers the 3D view on the selected hole and zoom in to the hole.

Save/Unclaim

Performs a Save Work and releases database claims on the selected hole data allowing other users to modify the same hole data immediately.

Refresh List

Updates the list of holes according to the hole selection criteria.

Export to Excel

Exports the grid data to Excel.

Print Preview

Open the Print Preview window.

Selected Hole Data

The Selected hole data pane lists more information about the hole currently selected in the List of holes.

A right-click pop-up menu on the hole data allows you to:

Navigate to

Adds the hole and associated items to the 3D view

Remove from 3D View

Removes the hole and associated items from the 3D view

Export to Excel

Exports the grid data to Excel

Print Preview

Opens the Print Preview window.

Hole Validation Results

The Hole validation results pane displays details of associativity checks.

Each hole in the List of holes includes the results of the associativity check as either TRUE or FALSE in the VALID column. Further details of these associativity checks are available in the Hole validation results fold up panel, which displays the Test carried out and the Result, either PASS or FAIL. More detailed information can be found in the tooltips by hovering the mouse over the result of a validation result.

Hole History

The Hole History pane displays the history of the currently selected hole.

A right-click pop-up menu provides facilities to Export to Excel file or Print Preview the displayed data.

Each hole in the List of holes displays the current status value on the Hole Management window but a history of changes to the status value during the lifetime of the hole data is also stored for reference. The full status history for each hole is displayed on the Hole History fold up panel.

A right-click menu provides facilities for exporting to Excel or printing the displayed data.

Hole Comment

Allows you to enter a comment on the current hole

Save

Saves the comment entered in the text box

Tasks

The principal tasks within the Hole Management system relate to status management and these functions can be achieved by means of links under Originator Tasks and Reviewer Tasks. Only allowable tasks are active.

Request

Submits a HM hole request

Redundant

Makes a HM hole redundant

Cancel Request

Cancels a HM hole request

Delete Entry

Deletes an entry from the HM system

Reviewer Tasks

Approve

Approves a HM hole request

Reject

Rejects a HM hole request

Agree Redundant

Agrees a HM hole is redundant

Changes to managed hole status values can only be undertaken according to a strict sequence of events as displayed in the following table:
