Entering the Application

When you start up the application, you must first give the name of the project you will be working on using the PROJECT command. Then you can query the users and the MDBs available in the Project before they are set.

Enter the application

1. Start the application.

2. Enter the name of the project you will be working on by entering the PROJECT command.

   You can query the projects available.

3. Specify a username and password by entering the USERNAME command.

   Note: When working in non-graphics mode, AVEVA recommends that you enter the USERNAME command on its own, and you will then be prompted to enter the username and password, which will not be echoed on the screen. Do not follow the command immediately by the username and password, as this may be a security risk.

   When you have entered the username and password correctly, you will be in MONITOR.

   You can now use the facilities described in this manual, or start up another module.
