What is the Catalogue For?

The Catalogue in AVEVA E3D Design serves a purpose similar to a parts catalogue to which a pipework designer or structure designer would refer when using ‘conventional’ design methods. It contains details of all available components (piping and structural), including their dimensions, geometry and drawing symbols. Whereas the conventional parts catalogue is a book held in the Design Office, the AVEVA E3D Design Catalogue is a database held on the computer.
