Purpose

File

• Click File > Save to save the file to the current filename.

• Click File > Save As to display a File Browser window to save the file with a new name.

• Click File > Load to reload the file from the current filename.

• Click File > Load From to display a File Browser window to load a different file.

Directory

Displays where the current file is stored. The default file is named DES-PURPOSE.

Element Type and Definition

Select the Element Type from the drop-down menu. When you select an element type, for which purposes have been defined, the purposes is displayed in the Definition text box. Type in an identifier of up to four characters, followed by a description.

Cancel

Click Cancel to close the Define Purposes window.

Select the Type from the drop-down menu, Then the drop-down menu to the right displays the list of purposes defined for the chosen type.

Sub-Type

Select the Sub Type from the drop-down menu.

Set to Purpose

Select Set to Purpose check box.

Available Purposes

Lists the available purposes for the selected type.

Purpose for Sub-Type

Lists the available purposes for the selected sub-type.

Cancel

Click Cancel to close the Purpose Relationship window.
