Specifies the Purpose for which an element is used by setting its PURP attribute, for example, to specify that a Site is used for HVAC, Equipment and Steelwork.
Define
Defines the required purposes.

Directory |
Displays where the current file is stored. The default file is named DES-PURPOSE. |

Element Type and Definition |
Select the Element Type from the drop-down menu. When you select an element type, for which purposes have been defined, the purposes is displayed in the Definition text box. Type in an identifier of up to four characters, followed by a description. |

Cancel |
Click Cancel to close the Define Purposes window. |
Relationship
Defines the required purposes relationship.

Type |
Select the Type from the drop-down menu, Then the drop-down menu to the right displays the list of purposes defined for the chosen type. |

Sub-Type |
Select the Sub Type from the drop-down menu. |

Set to Purpose |
Select Set to Purpose check box. |

Available Purposes |
Lists the available purposes for the selected type. |

Purpose for Sub-Type |
Lists the available purposes for the selected sub-type. |

Cancel |
Click Cancel to close the Purpose Relationship window. |
