Defines the reference grid annotations on the 3D view.
Modify Default Grid Annotations
Sets the default grid annotations for all reference grids in the GRIDWL using the Properties window.

The general properties of FACELB, ELEVLB, GRIDFA and GRIDEL elements are identical to REFGRD properties. Refer to Modify Reference Grid for further information.
The annotation properties of the FACELB element can be modified to change the default grid annotations for new reference grids. The annotation properties of the GRIDFA element can be modified to change the default annotations for existing reference grids.

Annotation |
|
|
Label |
The Label property defines the annotation type. By default, the property is defined as Axis along the X axis and Row along the Y axis. |
|
Start ID |
The default grid annotation style for annotations along the X axis is a numbered system, starting at 1 with an increment of 1. The default grid annotation style for annotations along the Y axis is an alpha system, starting at A and continuing with the next letter of the alphabet. Input a value in the field to modify the starting annotation. For example, input C in the field to start the grid annotation with the letter C. |
|
Step ID |
The default grid annotation step for annotations along the X axis and the Y axis is 1. Input a value in the field to modify the step increment. For example, input 10 to annotate the grid in steps of 10. |
The annotation properties of the ELEVLB element can be modified to change the default grid annotations for new reference grids. The annotation properties of the GRIDEL element can be modified to change the default annotations for existing reference grids.

|
Label |
The Label property defines the prefix text for the label. By default, the property is defined as Elev along the Z axis. Input a value in the field to modify the annotation label. For example, input HEI in the field to start the grid annotation with HEI 1. |
|
Start ID |
The default grid annotation style for annotations along the Z axis is the measured height of the grid plane, which is calculated by the application and ignores the value Start ID value. The Start ID value is only used if the grid elevation label display is set to Plane ID. Input a value in the field to modify the starting annotation. For example, input 1 in the field to start the grid annotation with Elev 1. |
|
Step ID |
The default grid annotation style for annotations along the Z axis is the measured height of the grid plane, which is calculated by the application and ignores the value Start ID value. The Step ID value is only used if the grid elevation label display is set to Plane ID. Input a value in the field to modify the step increment. For example, input 10 to annotate the grid in steps of 10. |

Modify Individual Reference Grid Annotations
Defines the individual grid plane annotations on the 3D view.

The general and positional properties of the GRIDPL element are identical to REFGRD properties. Refer to Modify Reference Grid for further information.
The annotation properties of the GRIDPL element can be modified to change individual reference grid annotations.
|
Annotation |
|
|
ID plane |
Input a value in the field to modify the annotation value. For example, input 1A in the field to modify the grid plane annotation to 1A. |
|
ID prefix |
The ID prefix property is a non-editable property. The value is inherited from the label property of the owning GRIDFA or GRIDEL element. |
|
Full ID plane |
The Full ID plane property is a non-editable property. The value is inherited from the combined properties of the ID Prefix and ID Plane attributes. |

Update Reference Grid Annotations
Resets reference grid annotations to the default values.
You are prompted to Pick Refgrid to reapply labels on grid planes
Note:
The prompt does not display if the reference grid is already selected.
Click to identify the reference grid to be updated using a cursor pick in the 3D view.
The reference grid annotations are updated according to their default values. Reference grid annotations are not updated for locked grid planes.
Display Reference Grid Annotations
Toggles the display of reference grid annotations on or off. By default, reference grid annotations display when the reference grid is created.

Display Reference Grid Dimensions
Toggles the display of reference grid dimensions on or off.
The reference grid dimensions selection becomes inactive if the reference grid annotations are not displayed. See Display Reference Grid Annotations above for further information.
