Virtual Machine (VM) Pool update

The VM pool update means that the VM pool prepares a batch of new VMs to exchange the existing unallocated VMs. Three situations trigger the VM pool to update:
-
The IMS sends a new version image to the tenant.
-
The IMS broadcasts a new version image to all tenants.
-
The administrator changes the pool regions.
The VM pool update does not affect user-allocated VMs. Also, changes in numbers, disconnect idle time or schedule setting of VM pools do not affect the existing VM pool VMs.
The update is a one-for-one mechanism. When a new machine is successfully created, the old one is replaced. During this period, unallocated machines (even the old image versions) in the VM pool can still be used.
