The following features are introduced or changed in the AVEVA Production Accounting 2024 Release.

New features and Enhancements

  • Objective Function

    • User can view the integrated model convergence after the reconciliation.

    • As a part of data analysis, user can get the objective function contribution by sub-model. Thus, high contributing objective function sub model will be focused.

    • Clicking the sub-model will provide the detailed contribution of the all the streams. Thus, user can navigate to the stream of highest contributor and can review of past contribution vs current contribution in the individual stream chart.

    • User can also quickly navigate to high objective function contributors and can fix the issue accordingly.

  • Crude Assay and Blend support

    • Crude Assay and its thermo properties can be generated by providing the distillation data

    • Assay blend and its pseudo components are also made available.

    • Assay or pseudo components can be assigned to the stream object.

    • Stream energy calculations will be performed by leveraging the Assay thermo properties.

  • Enthalpy data display along with mass & volume data

    • Enthalpy calculations are automated for liquid and gaseous streams by leveraging AVEVA Thermo data

    • User selection utility is provided to enable or disable the display of enthalpy/energy data in GUI

    • Mouse over of node will provide the enthalpy balance of connected input and output streams.

  • Energy Management Solution Offering

    • Various performance monitoring KPIs can built at asset , unit and plant level within APA.

    • Having KPIs data points available , dashboards can be generated for all levels from plant to asset level

    • User can monitor and can compare the current performance vs last few months/year performance.

    • Highlight of current data point against historical performance will provide the user to take corrective measures to identify the root cause of deteriorated performance.

  • Manual Stream Creation

    • Using this feature, users can establish connections between two nodes (such as processes, models, shipments, and tanks) by specifying the stream type, source, destination, and stream name. Additionally, this option allows users to connect nodes that are significantly distant from each other.

  • Issue with Summary Pop-Up for Objects with multiple Inputs and Outputs

Currently, when the user hovers over an object, the tooltip follows the mouse cursor. However, if the cursor moves downward or if the object is located at the bottom of the flowsheet, the tooltip can move out of the visible window.

Additionally, there is no provision for scrolling when there are a large number of streams, making it difficult for users to view all the content.

    Enhancements Implemented:

    The enhancements address these issues:

    • The summary pop-up window no longer moves out of the screen.

    • A vertical scroll is now provided, allowing users to see all stream details.

    • The window remains open as long as the mouse cursor is inside the pop-up, enabling users to scroll through the content.

    • The pop-up will close when the cursor moves outside of it.
