Bilinear data reconciliation reconciles the volume and mass balance for a specific configuration simultaneously.
This unique ability to perform data reconciliation with mass and volume balance gives you powerful flexibility. For instance, a process unit area is normally reconciled with both mass and volume simultaneously, but a tank farm area is reconciled with only volume due to the inaccuracy of tank density measurements. You can select the balance type (mass and/or volume balance) for each process and tank in AVEVA Production Accounting.
When you choose Mass and Volume Balance, which enables you to reconcile mass and volume, you can use a different tolerance for each. The balances are carried out across specific balance points, to make sure that the mass and volume of material going into each process, node and tanks equals the mass and volume coming out, to within the tolerances specified for each type of balance.
