Remaining Life results are only generated if:
-
The Remaining Life limits have been configured for the published model
-
The Predictive Analytics model is currently in an alert state for the overall model residual
The values shown on the card are as follows:
-
Not Set: When there is no Remaining Life threshold configured. This is observed initially when the models are published to Insight or an existing configuration is cleared.
-
Pending: When a Remaining Life configuration is created or changed and the results are not yet available.
-
N/A: When Remaining Life limits are configured, but the Predictive Analytics model residual is not in alert, the Remaining Life results will not be calculated. The side sheet is displayed without the chart.
-
Error: When there are errors connecting to the on-premise systems or other model related errors.
-
Set: One of the following types of values are displayed on the card, after the Remaining Life is calculated:
-
When the Time Remaining < Projection Range; then a numeric value is displayed.

-
When the Projection Range < Time Remaining, then the numeric value begins with the '>' sign.

Remaining Life Results
In runtime, Remaining Life is calculated based on the Runtime State of the asset. If the Runtime State is Alert, the algorithm will run automatically and update the number of days remaining life. The progress of the degradation will be populated in the chart.
-
Projection Range determines how far into the future data is estimated.
-
Time Remaining is the amount of time, between the time at which the model was generated and when the projected range is expected to cross the failure threshold. The time of the expected crossing of the threshold is calculated for the projected range.
