Configure the Module

Configure the AVEVA Predictive Analytics Insight Publisher module with properties related to the on-premise solution. Edge Management provides module developers with the ability to securely store sensitive information, such as user names and passwords. Sensitive information like passwords and bearer tokens are configured on the module's settings page under the Secret Store section.

To configure the AVEVA Predictive Analytics Insight Publisher module

1. From the Device list, locate and select your AVEVA Predictive Analytics Insight Publisher edge device.

   The device details display in the Device Information Panel.

2. Select the Modules tab.

   A list of available modules are displayed. The modules available depend on the platform type configured for the device.

3. Drag the AVEVA Predictive Analytics Insight Publisher module into the left column to associate the module with the device. You can also select the  icon on the module's tile.

   The most recent version of the module displays. Typically, this is the version you will use, although you are able to select other versions.

4. Provide values for the following properties:

   • Predictive Analytics Database Host

   • Predictive Analytics Database Port

   • Predictive Analytics Database Instance

   • Predictive Analytics Database Service Account

   • Predictive Analytics Service Account

   • Predictive Analytics Web URL

   • Insight URL

   • Insight Data Source Name

   • Process Optimization Web URL (or None)

5. To configure secure secrets for a module, under the Secret Store section, click Setup.

   The Setup module secret dialog appears.

6. Enter values for the following properties. By default, the text you enter is hidden, indicated by .

   • Predictive Analytics Database Service Account Password

   • Predictive Analytics Service Account Password

   • Insight API Token

   • Insight Data Source Token

     To toggle visibility and view the text you entered, select , changing it to . The text you enter in the field is now visible.

     

7. Click Create.

   A command is generated with the secret information.

8. Select Copy to clipboard and copy the command to the clipboard. Run this command on your edge device as an administrator.

9. Return to AVEVA Edge Management. Click Close.

10. Click Update.

    You can now publish the edge module to the edge device.
