The AVEVA Insight release notes are arranged in order from the most recent release, and they correspond to the month and year the enhancements and known and fixed issues (where applicable) were made available in the product.

Note: The Fixed Issues included in the Release Notes are a list of the highest-priority defects reported by our customers and are not an exhaustive list of all fixes included in the release.

December 2024

The following release information is provided for this release of AVEVA Insight.

Features

• Show Pareto line: You can now display a Pareto line in the Utilization Summary visual. For more information, see Utilization Summary Chart.

Fixed Issues

The following issues are fixed in this release.

• Case – 960425224 (Defect – 3356788) Resolved an issue where the column chart showed results that didn't match with the queried time period.

• (Defect – 3665983) Resolved an issue where recent content failed to load on the home page.

October 2024 Release 2

The following release information is provided for this release of AVEVA Insight.

Features

• Auto Summary in time-based expressions: Standard retrieval rules will now automatically select summary data instead of primary data in time-based expressions. Longer intervals will utilize auto-summary data, while more complex or shorter expressions will continue to use primary data.

• Future time acceptance: You can now input future dates and times in line and column charts when using the custom time picker and when panning.

Fixed Issues

The following is a fixed issue included in this release.

• Case – 960450507 (Defect – 3475668) Resolved an issue where the Total Function miscalculated FuelFlow when a nested IF condition was True for only part of the hour. The function now ensures accurate calculations.

August 2024 Release 2

The following release information is provided for this release of AVEVA Insight.

Features

• Data source disabling: An email is now automatically sent when a distributed data pattern triggers the disabling of a data source

• Content scripting API update: The content scripting API was moved from a public API to an internal, private API.

August 2024 Release 1

The following release information is provided for this release of AVEVA Insight.

Features

• Support for string expressions: Added validation for IF conditions with string literals and tags. Supports equal and not equal comparisons.

• Base unit correction: Added base units and base scale factors for Electrical Power, Electrical Energy, and Electrical Energy Cost to change default result units.

June 2024

The following release information is provided for this release of AVEVA Insight.

Features

• Expand/collapse Gantt charts: You can now disable or enable tags via the legend and then collapse or expand the Gantt chart.

• Standard deviation: You can now use standard deviation as a time-series function in expressions. For more information, read STANDARD DEVIATION.

• Visual indication for clipped data: Line and scatter charts now display arrows in the margins to indicate when data extends outside the current scaling range.

• Enhance Insight roles: The current User role is now renamed to Contributor, and a new Individual role has been added. Those with the Individual role can create private content and view shared content. For more information, read About AVEVA Insight user roles.

The following is a fixed issue included in this release.

• Case – 960405523 (Defect – 3267832) Resolved an issue with incorrect OEE calculations due to incomplete data ingress from AVEVA Insight Publisher. Our development team is continuing to improve the reliability of data ingress.

Fixed Issues

The following is a fixed issue included in this release.

• Description: Resolved an issue where the Auto Summary feature was displaying inaccurate data due to failed built-in optimizations aimed at improving response times for longer-term, lower-fidelity data. This led to gaps and flatlined values on charts.

Fixed Issues

The following is a list of fixed issues included in this release.

• Case – 960380994 (Defect – 3044562) Resolved an issue where iPad users were unable to export charts. Please enable pop-ups in iPad Safari for this feature to work properly.

• Case – N/A (Defect – 3053982) Resolved an issue where the home page was not refreshing properly.

Known Issues

The following is a high-priority known issue identified at the time of this release.

• Description: Auto Summary feature is currently displaying inaccurate data.

February 2024 Release 2

The following release information is provided for this release of AVEVA Insight.

Features

The following new and enhanced functionality is delivered as part of this release.

Creation and deletion logs: You can now access a log detailing the creation or deletion of Equipment states, Utilization reasons, OEE Calculation definitions, and Disposition reasons.

Fixed Issues

The following is a list of fixed issues included in this release.

• Case – 960347789 (Defect – 2860456) Fixed an issue where graphics would shrink in size.

• Case – N/A (Defect – 3001724/3021843) Fixed issues where cursors were not functioning properly.

Known Issues

The following is a high-priority known issue identified at the time of this release.

• Description: The Insight home page should show top news items from the last 3 days. However, it is constantly refreshing the current day's news, causing the news feed to continuously grow.

  Our development team is working on this item.

February 2024 Release 1

The following release information is provided for this release of AVEVA Insight.

Features

The following new and enhanced functionality is delivered as part of this release.

Utilization event comments: You can save a comment for an existing utilization event without changing the reason code with the Edit Utilization Event dialog. Manage equipment utilization events.

Fixed Issues

The following is a list of fixed issues included in this release.

• Case – 960368313 (Defect – 2975294) Fixed an issue where users could not use embedded URL connections. Users can use kiosk mode as a workaround.

• Case – 960303425 (Defect – 2880729) Fixed an issue where data was freezing in Archestra graphics.

• Case n/a (Defect - 30198333) Fixed an issue where Intouch and Historian data was unable to publish.
