Data source flatline and tag flatline news stories

When data is not received by AVEVA Insight from your data source or a specific tag for a period of time, the News feed will generate a news story to note either a data source flatline or tag flatline.

Note that a data or tag flatline can be caused by a network issue. In this situation, data is cached and ultimately delivered to AVEVA Insight once the connection is restored. However, news stories are not retroactively updated after being reported. If a user selects a flatline news story after the network connection has been restored and cached data has been processed by AVEVA Insight, the trend will show all data and the flatline data points will not be visible in the historical record.
