Concurrent access to AVEVA Process Simulation

Each instance of AVEVA Real-Time System (RTS) server that accesses AVEVA Process Simulation from a service uses a separate license. Unless you have more than one license seat, you cannot interactively use AVEVA Process Simulation while scripts are running in RTS. Also, if you have an online-only license, you cannot open the AVEVA Process Simulation user interface (UI). If you want to open the corresponding AVEVA Process Simulation UI while using RTS as a service, you need a license that includes access to the UI (most licenses other than online-only licenses). If you're not sure whether your license includes access to the UI, please contact AVEVA customer support to confirm your license details.

Even with more than one license, you can cause file access issues if you try to open a simulation or its related files at the same time as RTS. We recommend that you do not open another instance of AVEVA Process Simulation while running RTS as a service.
