Create a flowsheet equation on the Canvas

Do one of the following:

• Drag an Equation from the Tools Library onto the Canvas.

• In the Simulation Manager, right-click the Main flowsheet and then select Add Equation.

A blank flowsheet equation appears on the Canvas and in the Simulation Manager, and the simulation becomes improperly specified (unsquare).

Flowsheet equations appear under the Equations branch in the Simulation Manager.

(Optional) Either on the Canvas or in the Simulation Manager, rename the flowsheet equation.

Either on the Canvas or in the Simulation Manager, enter the formula for the flowsheet equation.

You must use the internal units of measure for any variables and constant coefficients that you include in the formula. See Internal units of measure for more information.

Change the specification status for a simulation variable from specified to calculated.

The simulation becomes properly specified (square).
