Grant access to log files by using File Explorer

If you are not signed in to the computer as the service account user, you must have administrator privileges to complete this procedure.

Grant access to the log files for users other than the service account user

1. Open File Explorer.

2. Browse to the Logs folder of the AVEVA Real-Time System installation, right-click it, and then select Properties.

   The Properties dialog appears.

3. On the Security tab, select Edit.

   The Permissions for dialog appears.

4. Select Add.

   The Select Users or Groups dialog appears.

5. Enter the users or groups that you want to add, and then select OK.

6. In the Permissions for Authenticated Users list for each new user or user group, ensure that the Allow checkbox for at least the Read permission is selected, and then select Apply.
