Using the SCValue function, you can reference simulation values in your report. For detailed information on the AVEVA Process Simulation functions shipped with the Excel Add-In, see Understanding Excel functions.

You can reference the following AVEVA Process Simulation values in a cell:

  • Model

  • Variable/Parameter

  • UOM

  • Simulation

  • Snapshot

Add, view, or modify a SCValue function in a cell

  1. Right-click the cell and select AVEVA Process Simulation Value Properties. The View Details For Active Cell dialog appears.

  2. In each box, enter the appropriate value in directly, select the cell reference picker to refer to another cell that contains the value, or select the AVEVA Process Simulation picker to select a value from a list generated from AVEVA Process Simulation, as shown in the following image.

  3. Observe that using the AVEVA Process Simulation Value Properties option inserts the SCValue function into the cell:

    =SCValue(CWS1,P,"kPa",CWSim,Pro 3)

Example: Add a column header and reference the default simulation in a report

  1. Enter Simulation into cell A1.

  2. Enter the following text into cell A2. See Understanding Excel functions for more information.

    =SCDefSim()

    The default simulation that you selected previously in the Set Default Simulation dialog appears.

    If you set a different default simulation, the new simulation automatically appears in any cell that includes the SCDefSim function.
