Pitzer and co-workers developed this equation of state to predict enthalpies and entropies for liquids and vapors. It calculates the enthalpy deviation and entropy by using the principle of three-parameter corresponding states, that is, in terms of the reduced temperature (Tr), reduced pressure (Pr), and the acentric factor (w). It calculates the critical temperature and pressure for the mixture by using the mixing rules of Stewart, Burkhart, and Voo.
Currently, you cannot select this method as an independent system calculation method. However, the Grayson-Streed and Improved Grayson Streed methods use this equation of state to calculate the enthalpy and entropy for all phases. See GS — Grayson-Streed method and IGS — Improved Grayson-Streed method for more information.
