AVEVA Process Simulation usage while AVEVA Real-Time System is running as a service

When AVEVA Real-Time System (RTS) is running as a service, it will be running under a different user account than the one that you are logged in as. Opening the AVEVA Process Simulation user interface (UI) will get you your own AVEVA Process Simulation instance with access to your private repository, which may not be what you want as this AVEVA Process Simulation instance does not use or communicate with the RTS running as a service.
Assuming the RTS service is configured to run from the C:\SimSci\RtsCore folder, then running RTS commands from that folder will use the RTS that's running as a service regardless of which user issues those commands.
Since you cannot run the AVEVA Process Simulation UI (client) to access the AVEVA Process Simulation repository, you need to use Windows File Explorer to access the contents of the service account's repository directly.
For example, if the service is running under rts_service user, then the repository folders would be located in sub-folders of C:\Users\rts_service\AppData\Local\SimSci\SimCentral.
Within this folder, you can access the Sims, Libs, and Logs folders, as needed. If you are a local Administrator, you should be able to access these folders without additional configuration, otherwise an Administrator would have to grant you access to the folder explicitly.
