About Groups
A Group is a collection of related variables and parameters. Groups appear on the Mini Inspector and provide a way for you to organize the variables and parameters within the Mini Inspector so that you can quickly locate the variables and parameters that you are most interested in.
Concepts

The order in which the Groups appear on the Mini Inspector is the same as the order in which the Groups appear on the Model Editor

Only Model Writers can create and configure Groups

Model Writers can add both variables and parameters to a Group

If a model does not contain Groups, you will see a flat list of the favorite variables and parameters on the Mini Inspector

If a model contains Groups, on the Mini Inspector, you will see a collapsible and expandable section for each Group and the variables and parameters appear under their associated Groups

Many models in the standard Model Libraries include a default set of Groups

The Properties Inspector sorts variables and parameters by Groups only if you sort the view based on the Group value
