Scenarios for the G2 example simulation

The conceptual design simulation does not incorporate any control systems or use Dynamics mode. Therefore, it does not include any scenarios.

The detailed engineering simulation includes the following scenarios.

Scenario 1: Increase feed to 15000 kgh

This scenario increases the feed flowrate to 15,000 kg/h and records the control response over the next 20 minutes. You can use this scenario to examine the process control response to an increase in the feed flowrate.

Scenario 2: Increase reboiler TC to 120°C

This scenario increases the setpoint of the reboiler temperature to 120°C and records the process response. You can use this scenario to investigate the process response to unplanned changes.

Scenario 3: Run for 1 min

This scenario runs the simulation for an additional minute. After you run any other scenario, you can run this scenario to study any further process changes.
