Create a snapshot from an AVEVA Engineering notification

When AVEVA Process Simulation is connected to AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Engineering data is sent to you as notifications. You can create snapshots constructed from these notifications, which you can then use for your simulations in AVEVA Process Simulation.

Create a snapshot from an AVEVA Engineering notification

1. In AVEVA Process Simulation, select the AVEVA™ Engineering tab.

2. In the Updates From AVEVA Engineering group, select the AVEVA Engineering notification that you want to create a snapshot from.

   The software highlights the notification.

   

3. Select Process Notification next to the AVEVA Engineering notification name.

   The software processes the notification and creates a snapshot that displays in the Export Cases group list and in the Snapshot Manager. The snapshot's name is the notification's Case Name that was set up by the user in AVEVA Engineering.

4. (Optional) Repeat steps 2 and 3 to process additional AVEVA Engineering notifications that have the same Case Name as existing snapshots.

   The software combines the notifications' data into the existing snapshot that has the same Case Name and updates the snapshot accordingly.
